 TITLE I

• What is Title I?

Title I is a federal grant for schools with high percentages of students who receive free or reduced lunch.

• What Does This Mean?

Harris has additional funding for Staff, Materials/Supplies, Family Engagement, Equipment/Technology, and Professional Learning.

• What is Family Engagement?

We will have four (4) exciting family events focused on engaging you and your student(s) in reading and math skills.

• How Can You Be Involved?

Be a member of our Quality Improvement Team (QIT), attend our District Family Advisory Council (DFAC) Meetings, volunteer, attend and/or support our Family Engagement Events, be actively involved in your child(ren)’s homework, and read with your student(s) at home. 

PTA

Our Parent Teacher Association at Harris is a team of families, teachers, students, and administrators who are passionate about the educational success of students and the promotion of family engagement events.

It is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization advocating for public education by being a powerful voice for children and a helpful resource for our families and community. Membership is open to anyone who supports the PTA’s mission of making every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families to advocate for their children.
